Phytembryotherapy is a branch of phytotherapy that uses extracts of plant embryonic tissue. These young tissues contain meristem cells or plant stem cells that carry the blueprint of the entire plant, its essence, physical properties, and plant growth hormones, all in concentrated amounts not found in adult plants, delivering the concentrated therapeutic properties of each species.

 

Studies carried out by the founders of Phytembyotherapy (Henry 1970, 1982, Tétau 2004, Tétau & Scimeca 2005) as well as the empirical data accumulated over recent years, demonstrate the beneficial action of plant embryonic tissues on our physical, biological and psychological levels. Whilst phytembryotherapy is similar to gemmotherapy, the preparation of phytembryotherapy is more concentrated: it is designed to extract all the therapeutic qualities of the plant  into the remedy whereas gemmotherapy uses a simpler extraction process and the remedies are diluted.
